Student-Athletes build a positive community...

Meeting the Need

There is an unmet need to support a growing segment of domestic and foreign student-athletes find a legitimate path to attend college. For many of these students, a viable avenue to reach their academic objective is through a college athletic scholarship. We help provide a clear path for these students to earn a college degree and we encourage them to "pay-it-forward" by returning to their community and support others achieve their aspirations.

Award Grants to Student Athletes

GSAF awards financial grants to qualified student recipients for the specific purpose of participating in authorized College-Prep Programs (CPP). We will approve each application and inform recipients on responsibilities related to receiving and maintaining an award grant. We use a fair and consistent qualification process that does not discriminate based on gender, race, religion, ethnicity, or other relevant criteria. We collaborate with educational institutions and specialists to ensure our process adheres to accepted and relevant practices.

Award Grant Process

  • GSAF Award Grants are funded entirely from charitable donations.
  • The Directors and Officers collaborate on financial grants based on references from qualified educators, family members, coaches, and certified CPPs.
  • We rely on academic and athletic achievement data while respecting private personal information and security protocols.
  • Award grants are directed to high school student athletes, using academic and athlete talents as contributing factor to achieve a college degree.
  • Recipients are often students of color, from lower-income families, or from challenging locational and underserved social circumstances.
  • We use an objective application and selection process to evaluate recipient needs, motivation levels, and fulfillment probability.
  • We utilize athletic and educational networks to receive recommendations on potential GSAF Award Grant recipients.

Where Does the Foundation Operate?
